USA: the ruling on same-sex marriages adjourned until Wednesday

The Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit decided to put on hold until Wednesday the ruling of Federal Judge Bernard Friedman , who declared unconstitutional the law banning marriages and adoptions by same-sex couples in Michigan ( USA ) .

The legal body responded this way the order of suspension urgently requested by the attorney general of Michigan, Bill Schuette , who shortly after the verdict Friedman appealed the judge's decision.

The secretariats of the counties, responsible for issuing marriage licenses and some of them opened its doors today to meet the high demand for weddings, may no longer marrying same-sex couples until the order of suspension is resolved presented by Attorney .

Through an order issued this afternoon , the federal Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit ordered "to allow a reasonable consideration of the order of suspension is ordered that the opinion of the judge is temporarily paralyzed until Wednesday ."

Attorney spokesman Joy Yearout told reporters that , "given the experience in Utah, we hope that our request for a stay is granted ."

In Michigan, until Saturday afternoon , when the cessation order was issued, it is estimated that about 100 same-sex couples got their marriage license and were married in the secretaries of Ingham , Oakland, Washtenaw and Muskegon counties.
