Facebook wants immigrants send remittances through the social network  
Pending approval from the Central Bank of Ireland 
Facebook is poised to become a financial institution that allows mobile payments through remittances or money through the social network, according to Financial Times reported .

The company founded by Mark Zuckerberg would be close to obtaining approval of the Central Bank of Ireland to start a service that would allow users to store money on Facebook and use it to make payments or transfers to other users of the social network.

The company has also had talks to collaborate with at least three companies ( TransferWise , Moni and Unleavened Technologies ) that offer international money transfer through mobile and internet.

Both telecom groups , retailers and banks are trying to make a piece of juicy pie offering payment services through mobile globally, which is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years.

Google has reiterated its commitment to expand and improve its service Google Wallet and mobile payments . The company has allowed users to send money as an email attachment , but the service has presented some problems.
